Next Junior Licence Coaching Course

The next Junior Licence course will be held on the Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th March. Anyone interested should contact the Coaching & Development Coordinator on 6260 4000.

Capital Football Coaching Seminars

In 2006 Capital Football is comitted to coach development in line with this commitment we will be running regular coaching seminars. The first two seminars will be a debrief of the recent "Aimè Jacquet Conference" and on "Grading Players". Please click on the title of the relevant seminar for more details.


Goalkeeper required for Smokefree Youth Cup
Southern Tablelands need a goal keeper for the Under 20's Smokefree Youth Cup preseason competition. Sunday mornings from 4th March and the following four Sundays. If you are interested please contact Les Dorsett 0418 480 167.

New Technical Staff at Capital Football
Capital Football is excited to announce the new appointments to the Technical Development area. Paul Foster is assisting as a Technical Adviser, Slav Koumdjiev as been appointed Development Co-ordinator and Alex Butt to Development Officer

ACT Referee added to FIFA International Panel
Capital Football congratulates Allyson Flynn who has been added to the FIFA panel for the first time as an assistant referee. Allyson joins Ben Williams and Ben Wilson as Canberra representatives on the Australian list of FIFA referees.

Job Opportunites at Capital Football
Capital Football is now seeking new staff in the League Services department. The Women's League Manager position (job description attached) is a full time position based on around 38hrs per week.
The Referees Administrator position (job description attached) is a part-time job based on around 20hpw.
Applicants submitting an application must address the selection criteria and forward their application to me by close of business on Monday 20 February. The intention is to interview short-listed applicants within a week of the closing date for starting in the jobs by mid March if possible.

Junior League Registration Details
Junior Clubs will be holding registration stands during February for this season's competition.
Registrations are open for boys (up to 18yo) and girls (up to 16yo).

Referee's Training
Training for all members begins WEDNESDAY 18 January from 6pm until approx 7.30 at the Outdoor Synthetic Pitch at AIS. Fitness test 15 February 5.45pm at the AIS track. Catch up test 15 March 5.45pm at the AIS track.

Capital Football Academy Squads
The squad lists for the 2006 Capital Football Academy can be accessed below. As stated previously squads will comprise a range of ages. Players should view all lists to find a selected player's name. Information on each squad and the Academy Calendar for 2006 can be found on the latest edition of the Top Corner. All successful players will be forwarded details relevant to the remaining Phases of the 2006 Academy Program by 23rd December 2005. For players who were unsuccessful in gaining selection feedback in the form of assessments will be forwarded to you by 23rd December 2005. The Academy Manager Bernie Evans will be available to assist with enquiries after 30th December 2005.

Member Protection Policy and FFA Code of Conduct
The directors of Capital Football have endorsed the Football Member Protection policy. Capital Football is now responsible for the implementaion of this Policy on behalf of all our participants. Capital Football has the responsibility to ensure this policy is understood, adopted and implemented by our members and affiliated organisations.This policy is now part of our constitution and by-laws. It also forms a vital part of an overall safer football strategy incorporating the ACT Government's Good Sports Territory. This is a significant document designed to reduce harassment, abuse and discrimination in our sport. Capital Football - Tradies Bursaries
The Capital Football Academy is pleased to announce that thanks to the generosity of our major sponsor, The Tradies Group , we were able to offer financial assistance to some of our players who would not otherwise have been able to compete in various Championships for the ACT.

The Capital Football - Tradies Bursary was established this year to help the families of players selected in Academy squads when they are experiencing financial hardship. We would like to thank the Tradies for being such a great supporter of football in the ACT and encourage all of our footballing families to show their gratitude by becomng members of the Club.
